Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss, while the mother of her is English. Her family was on the south London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Over the past few years, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi in the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. The credits she has in her theatre work are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport for the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the ABC drama series Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making a guest episode in the initial episode of season three. Between 2014 and the year 2016, she appeared on Salem as Tituba. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was the daughter of Patty and Roy Leggat. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley was never able to walk. She was a dancer. When she reached 2 and a 1/2 and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance immediately after that. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical and hip-hop. Ashley won the best soloist award at every major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just the few.
